    I don’t support the BHA or the NSS on this. If Thought for the Day on the Today programme isn’t scrapped (which is unlikely), just leave it to the faith-heads to carry on and alienate the average listener, who will use the opportunity to go to the loo, or do something equally necessary, without missing anything important.

    If the slot is “opened up” to even more religious speakers, it’ll only serve to raise awareness of the silliness of it all – if anyone listens.

    It’s a commonly held misconception, but Atheism is not an alternative religious view.
